I’m a Los Angeles area-based cartoonist who also does commissioned art, freelance graphic design, publishing assistance and animation. I’ve self-published a few mini-comics called Guardrail, Kingdom, and Sweatpants Kid and edited/published humor anthologies Visions of the Aporkalypse and Humerus. I attended the Center for Cartoon Studies, receiving an M.F.A. in May 2011, and The University of Oregon before that (BA Art). My work has also appeared in INTENSE: Tales from the PNCA Graphic Novel Intensive, Automatons in Love, and The Dingo Kid, and the sketchbook collections Compulse (1-6).
That’s me on the left, talking to Art Spiegelman on graduation day. He was nice enough to sign my copy of Maus, and chat about comics for a couple minutes.
Here I am after visiting The Simpsons, my favorite TV show since I was seven. That’s producer and cartoonist Tom Gammill on the right, holding packets of comics I gave him and Matt Groening. Tom was the one who made it possible, thus I owe him a life debt.
